19 mai 1960 DJ Alan Freed est inculpé avec 7 autres pour avoir accepté 30650 $ en payola de 6 maisons de disques .
(La payola est un ensemble de paiements faits par une maison de disques à des stations de radios pour que ces dernières diffusent en priorité les morceaux édités) .
En fait il ne s en remettra jamais vraiment de cette "pub" .

je rappelle que pour les spécialistes , Elvis 2 Times' de Warhol en 1963 représente un moment décisif dans l'histoire de l'art du XXe siècle.La peinture combine une enquête sur la fascination uniquement américaine pour la célébrité et les médias de masse qui a émergé dans les années 1960 avec une évocation visuelle troublante à la fois de la violence et du désir. (et oui tout ca) (bon) (moi ca m'évoqe un double ELVIS dans une scène de FLAMING STAR ) .
