JIM DALE /
Né JAMES SMITH LE 15 aout 1935 à rottwell northamptonshire . Tres jeune ; il apprend la danse et cela pendant 6 ans . En 1951 ; il entre sur la scene comique et à 17 ans , il devient le plus jeune comédien professionnel du MUSIC HALL britannique . Il aprt faire son service 2 années , dans la royal air force .
Des l'age de 22 ans , il devient une vedette , sous l'aile de SIR GEORGE MARTIN , qui va produire tous ses albums à succes . Leur collaboration va etre fructueuse et de nombreux titres vont entrer dans les charts : BE MY GIRL N °2 ---- JUST BORN N° 27 -----CRAZY DREAM N °24 ---- et SUGARTIME N° 25 , tout cela dans une année référence pour lui 1958 !
En 1957 il présente sur LA BBC , l'émission SIX FIVE SPECIAL . Il écrit également la chanson DICK A DUM -DUM , qui va etre un hit en 1969 , pour DES O CONNOR . En tant qur compositeur , il obtient un ACADEMY AWARD pour GEORGY GIRL (theme de film) , qui s'est vendu à 7 millions d'exemplaires . Il écrit les paroles de TWINKY et A WINTER S TALE .
Autant dire et ce sera sa marque de "fabrique" , qu'il va accumuler une diversite d'activité artistique , qui va lui permettre de perdurer .
En 1961 , il demarre une carriere d'acteur , avec un petit role dans RAISING THE WIND . Il va se lancer dans la serie CARRY (....) et ceux jusqu'en 1969 . Il va continuer dans plusieurs productions , meme pour WALT DISNEY . Il travaille dans ce domaine jusque dans les années 90 . Revenant à son passage au music hall qui va etre tout aussi prolifique si ce n'est plus . Il y obtient 5 nominations au TONY AWARDS dont 1 victoire . Il est ENGAGE à BROADWAY , puis à la demande de LAURENCE OLIVIER , il rejoint THE NATIONAL THEATRE à LONDRE . Il va avoir une carriere etoffée et de qualité la aussi , en emmaganisant un grand nombre de PRIX , d HONNEUR , encore meme en 2011 . Cerise sur le gateau , pour des MILLIONS DE FANS AUX ETATS UNIS , JIM est la voix d HARRY POTTER . Il fait les 7 tomes , en tant que narrateur . Il va en retirer 2 GRAMMY AWARDS et une dizaine de prix ..... Il va aussi narrer , les jeux videos et les extras interactif de POTTER . ABC l'engage comme narrateur de conte de fée . Il est honnoré par la REINE ELIZABETH II , pour sa promotion de la litterature enfantile .
Notons qu'il se maris en 1957 avec PATRICIA et divorce en 1977 . Ils auront 4 enfants , qui ont tous bien réussis .
En 1980 il se remarie avec JULLIE SCHAFLER .
