    Mort de Staline /

     

    A 21h50, Joseph Vissarionovich Djougachvili meurt dans sa datcha des environs de Moscou, victime d'une hémorragie cérébrale. Il a 73 ans. Appelé Staline, "l'homme d'acier" en russe, il a dirigé la Russie durant plus de 20 ans. A sa mort, toutes les organisations communistes du monde orchestrent des manifestations de deuil conformes au culte de la personnalité que Staline avait instauré. La communauté internationale rend hommage au vainqueur de Stalingrad qui a libéré la Russie du nazisme durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Son "règne", symbolisé par des collectivisations massives et une période de répression sans précédent, aura des conséquences désastreuses sur la Russie et l'ensemble de ses dominions communistes.

     

     

     

    Le dictateur soviétique s'honorait du titre de «Vojd», mot russe qui signifie guide, équivalent de l'allemand Führer, de l'italien Duce ou de l'espagnol Caudillo.

     

    Mais la propagande communiste le surnommait aussi le «petit père des peuples».

     

    L'annonce de sa mort fige le monde entier dans la stupeur, la désolation et un vague soulagement.

     

    Ses obsèques, le 9 mars suivant à Moscou, se traduisent par des scènes d'hystérie collective qui entraînent la mort de plusieurs centaines de badauds, piétinés ou étouffés.
